The Logistics Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting warehouse operations by managing outbound shipment scheduling, documentation, and communication. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Warehouse Logistics Manager, improve operational accuracy, and support strategic modernization initiatives. The role will also contribute to inventory and scrap documentation, carrier coordination, and issue resolution.

Position Responsibilities

  • Schedule and track outbound shipments (8–10 trucks/day)
  • Generate and organize Bills of Lading (BOLs) for ~316 shipments/month
  • Communicate with drivers, carriers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Support documentation for inventory and scrap handling (320k–480k lbs/month)
  • Assist in resolving real-time logistics issues and coordinating with carriers
  • Maintain shipment records and support compliance audits
  • Collaborate with inventory control teams, especially as scope expands to raw material receiving in CY26
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and modernization project
  • Understand and comply with all Plant Safety Requirements, including GMP's, HACCP Principles and Food Safety Standards
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

•     High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred

•     2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, warehouse operations, or transportation scheduling

•     Strong organizational and time management skills

•     Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite

•     Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

•     Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skills

•     Experience with Sage 300 or similar ERP systems

•     Familiarity with MRP, inventory traceability, and cycle count processes

•     Knowledge of compliance and audit requirements in warehouse operations

 Work Environment:

This position will perform job duties in both office and manufacturing floor environments.  Time spent on the manufacturing is required, the noise level in that environment is usually very loud.  Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned Personal Protective Equipment.  Temperature can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>90 degrees).  The atmosphere contains fumes, dust and odors.
