Inside Liner Specialist

Job Summary:
The Inside Liner Specialist will set up and operate equipment based on job specifications set by the customer. It is important to continuously monitor the line and inside lining coatings to continue high quality production throughout the lines. Specialists should be able to communicate effectively with other specialists and operators and can solve problems.
Job Duties:
- Assisting in complete set up and operation of all inside liner equipment
- Assisting in complete cleaning and mechanical maintenance of all inside lining and related equipment.
- Assistance in troubleshooting and in-depth maintenance.
- Assistance in changeover, production of aluminum containers to the specifications set by the customer and proper preparation of inside liner materials.
- Responsible for overseeing containers made in compliance with internal and external specifications and Quality Assurance Procedures.
- Working with purchasing and scheduling to ensure that the proper materials are available, organization and preparation for maintenance projects.
- Authority to stop and/or modify work processes due to non-conformance of containers and/or unsafe working conditions.
- Report on all potential food safety concerns to the quality assurance manager.
- Set up and operate all inside liner equipment.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on inside liner related equipment.
- Perform routine quality checks and record findings to ensure cans are meeting job specifications.
- Obtain coating weights and record information for EPA data analysis.
- Proficiently perform changeovers and production of aluminum containers to the specifications set by the customer.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Must be fully trained and adept in all Inside Liner functions.
- Must have knowledge and application of blueprint reading as evidenced by applicable testing.
- Must possess good mechanical aptitude, able to use hand tools effectively and adept at using measuring devices (calipers, micrometers etc.).
- Must have excellent communication and training skills.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time on concrete floor.
Work Environment:
This role is in a manufacturing environment and the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts that produce noise.
