Area of Responsibility

In this position, you are responsible for the comprehensive management of supply chain processes at the plant, including production planning, material availability, and production data acquisition, with the objective of ensuring a high level of delivery reliability. You also ensure compliance with all relevant requirements in the areas of occupational safety, health and environmental protection, as well as quality and energy management. Another key focus is the efficient monitoring and control of material inventories and material flows to guarantee minimal stock levels while maintaining stable production operations.

 

Your specific responsibilities include:

  • Defining and ensuring smooth processes in procurement, production planning, material flow, and shipping, including the correct posting of transactions into the local ERP system
  • Professional and disciplinary leadership of the SCM team (material procurement and management, raw materials warehouse, shipping, production planning)
  • Motivating and developing employees; fostering collaboration and communication within the department and across departmental boundaries
  • Ensuring compliance with targets for occupational and environmental protection, delivery performance, on‑time delivery, quality, and further development of the KPI system
  • Managing and continuously optimizing logistics processes
  • Effective inventory management
  • Managing and improving communication between suppliers, internal and external production units, service providers, and sales/customers
  • Organizing the local and participating in the central S&OP process
  • Representing the plant in national and international working groups
  • Preparing and updating risk assessments and process descriptions within the scope of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Assuming entrepreneurial duties within the assigned area of responsibility

 

Requirements

  • Completed university degree, e.g., in (business) engineering with a focus on logistics, production, or similar fields
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable SCM position within international industrial companies
  • Willingness and ability to cooperate
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High sense of responsibility
  • Strong decision‑making and assertiveness
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Very good proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP, proAlpha, BPCS or similar)
  • Strong negotiation skills
