Responsibilities:

As a Laboratory Technician / CTA (R&D Specialist Aerosol), you are an expert in various technical activities to check the suitability of formulations in relation to packaging, support internal qualification processes for approving aerosol cans for our customers, and determine shelf life. In addition, you will assist the company in selecting the appropriate packaging for internal and external customers (steel and aluminum aerosols) and perform all analyses related to internal corrosion and product compatibility.

 

Your tasks include:

 

  • Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy
  • Corrosion analysis (observations)
  • Storage tests (corrosion, delamination, leakage, etc.)
  • Wet analysis of filling goods (pH, water content, chloride, etc.)
  • Technical examination of lacquers (before and after application)
  • Handling complaints
  • Supporting quality improvements and problem resolution
  • Providing all data to assess the suitability of a specification
  • Ensuring standardized working methods, strengthening procedures, processes, and protocols
  • Supporting and advising production in complex customer complaint cases
  • Assisting in the development of new test methods, conducting test design, validating and standardizing new methods
  • Maintaining and developing specific expertise
  • Supporting workplace organization (safety, 5S, etc.)

 

Requirements:

  • Completed training as Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) or equivalent qualification
  • Solid knowledge in chemistry, corrosion, and electrochemistry
  • Experience in problem-solving methods and statistical analysis
  • Good English skills and confident use of MS Office and specific laboratory applications
  • Ideally 2 years of professional experience in a similar environment
  • Team player in an international matrix organization
  • Analytical thinking, creativity, and initiative
  • Ability to make and defend decisions
  • Resilience, patience, and perseverance
  • Strong communication skills and continuous improvement mindset
