Job summary
The Plant HR Manager functions as the local HR business partner for their manufacturing site(s) in order to align HR objectives with strategic organization objectives in the plant. 
The Country LER Lead will be accountable for the delivery of all Labor and Employee Relations and policy/process standardization activities within the country. This includes direct liaison with country unions and their representatives across sites, central and local works councils, Trivium HR CoEs & legal and external authorities linked to labor relations.

 

Principal accountability I Plant HR Manager:

  • As a member of the plant leadership team, works collaboratively with plant leadership to improve customer satisfaction, operational objectives and business results. 
  • Support the plant leadership team: advise, coach and challenge them on all HR related issues, including applying Trivium code of conduct and values in day-to-day actions and decisions.
  • Development of effective long term-staffing plans to hire the right people in the right jobs at the right time.
  • Provide expertise to plant on leadership development, performance management, change management, resource planning, salary planning, talent- and succession management.
  • Promotes and drives projects contributing to the performance of the HR department and/or creating value for the company in the plant (e.g. Opex programs).
  • Provides data and analytics to identify issues, opportunities and organizational trends related to human resources.   
  • Supports the business in continuous striving to create a safe working environment and safety culture.
  • Facilitates OHI (Organizational Health Index) and actions to drive engagement in the plant. 
  • Educate and monitor management actions and decisions to maintain compliance with legal requirements.

 

Principal accountability I Country LER Lead:

  • Responsible for the Labor & Employee Relations activity in the country: overall coordinator for all local activities and primary contact for national LER activities including meeting and liaising with union representatives from multiple unions, local / central works councils & Health and Safety Commissions, CLA’s and drive the actions.
  • Active role in LER Europe team and ensure that projects (country, BU and Division level) are in line with legislation at Country and overall at European level. 
  • Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships, including plant/business leaders, country HR Managers/teams, regional HR teams, legal, industry contacts and employees.
  • Responsible for HR data and expertise ordered by works council such as effectiveness metrics, KPIs.
  • Ensure HR service delivery is compliant with laws, regulations, and policies across the Country.
  • Support and execute HR effectiveness regarding audits and SOX controls (internal HR controls).
  • Ensure the latest thinking and IR/ER legislation is understood, an impact analysis is completed to assess impact on the business and training is provided on changes to ensure HR and managers are fully aware of implications.
  • Implement Trivium global/regional policies and develop and implement standardized Country policies and relevant procedures, together with other HR Managers in the country, plant/site leaders, Global C&B; and involving internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Ensure strong coordination and cooperation between HR Managers in the country and local payroll/people services teams. Champion a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, standardized, and simplified HR processes and policies.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience 

 

Experience 

  • 10+ years’ experience in a HR Management position plus LER with direct exposure to unions in a fast-moving environment, preferably industrial environment. 
  • Experience anticipating issues, problem solving and implementing solutions, including referring critical issues to the appropriate level of management, and improving efficiency, quality, cost and productivity.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen. Knowledge of multiple businesses, functions and processes and proven track record to positively impact business results. 


Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and oral) and Czech. 
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of evolving HR landscape and demonstrated capability of leading organizational change efforts.
  • Capability to innovate and integrate HR practices around critical business issues, and align people, process and structure to supports these innovations.
  • Competence in connecting people to each other and the business strategy, leveraging technology and processes where appropriate.
