Senior Director Maintenance Excellence
Stellenstandort:  Schiphol Office
Contract Type:  Permanent
Remote/Hybrid/Onsite:  Hybrid
Anf.-Kennung:  39781

Shape the future of maintenance across our global operations.

We are looking for a Senior Director Maintenance who can take maintenance excellence to the next level across our global manufacturing network. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who combines deep maintenance expertise with strategic thinking, strong business acumen and the ability to turn standards into sustainable results.

You will set the global direction for maintenance, establish a consistent way of working across our plants and build the capabilities needed to improve reliability, efficiency and financial performance.

Your impact

As Senior Director Maintenance, you will:

  • Define and implement our global maintenance strategy, standards and operating model.
  • Establish clear governance, performance indicators and targets for maintenance across the organisation.
  • Develop practical implementation roadmaps for individual plants, recognising differences in maturity, capabilities and operational priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in maintenance cost, capital expenditure, reliability and operational performance.
  • Build a strong global maintenance community where expertise and best practices are actively shared.
  • Develop capability programmes for maintenance managers, engineers and technicians across the network.
  • Lead and coach a team of global maintenance and reliability experts.
  • Identify barriers to implementation early and work with senior leadership to accelerate progress.
  • Translate maintenance performance into clear business and financial impact.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Transformation, Finance, Human Resources and plant leadership to ensure sustainable implementation.

What you bring

We are looking for an experienced maintenance leader who can operate from the executive boardroom to the plant floor.

You bring:

  • 10+ years of strategic experience within maintenance, reliability or operational excellence.
  • Deep knowledge of maintenance optimisation and reliability improvement.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing maintenance standards across multiple sites or a large manufacturing network.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to turn strategy into a practical and scalable operating model.
  • Experience leading large groups of maintenance professionals through significant change.
  • Strong business and financial understanding, with the ability to connect operational improvements to financial value.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across executive, operational and technical audiences.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation capabilities.
  • The ability to bring clarity and direction in a complex, fast-moving international environment.
  • Integrity, credibility and the confidence to challenge existing ways of working when needed.

Experience in top-tier consulting at senior engagement manager or director level would be an advantage.

Why this role?

This is not a role focused on maintaining the status quo. You will have the opportunity to define how maintenance is done across a global manufacturing organisation and create a lasting impact on reliability, performance and the way our teams work.

If you combine strategic thinking with hands-on maintenance expertise, enjoy leading transformation and know how to turn global ambitions into results on the plant floor, we would like to hear from you.
