Role Description:
The Solution Architect is a key member of the Connectivity team and is responsible for driving the future architecture and design of the connectivity solutions. The Solution Architect is responsible for the definition and maintenance of the architecture.
The Solution Architect reports to manager Connectivity and is an active member of the Trivium Enterprise Architecture Community, which integrates all Solution- and Domain architects across all departments. Next to the IT department's responsibilities, the Solution Architect is part and obligated to work under the Trivium Enterprise Architecture Governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defines and maintains the platform/solution roadmap
- Display rigorous design methodology that consistently yields the right level of technical design documentation and develops cost-efficient technological solutions that conform both to customer requirements and solution development standards.
- Ensure the platform/solution compliance with the Trivium Enterprise Architecture, Automation, and Security standards, policies, and principles.
- Actively contribute to the Trivium Enterprise Architecture community and under the Architecture Governance.
- Hands-on development may be required to demonstrate component selection and prototyping.
- Ability to act as a key project/agile team member and provide leadership and ownership in platform/solution design, development and project execution.
- Assist in problem resolution and support other IT Teams through consultation and problem research
- Utilize understanding of industry solution trends to innovate and provide new project/product ideas within the platform/solution lifecycle
- Communicate solution concepts to all levels of management
Requirements for the job:
Education & Training:

Advanced graduate degree and excellent academic record (e.g., Master, MBA, PhD etc)
Educational background and experience in IT/OT, Security, and Architecture related frameworks in Enterprise environments (e.g., Azure Security Engineer Associate)
Experience:
- Experience and proven extensive knowledge in the platform/solution as Architect
- Experience in developing project scoping and scaling deliverables
- Experience in applying and maintaining information security standards, frameworks and controls
- Proven capability to work independently and manage multiple, competing demands
- Able to take high level requirements and develop solutions architecture with minimum supervision
- Experience in applying and maintaining information security standards, frameworks and control

- Strong relationship development with all primary and secondary stakeholders

Specific Connectivity experience:
- Azure DevOps / Azure container services ~ 2 year
- Kubernetes ~ 2 years
- Ansible Tower deployments
- Playbook Development experience (worked with Yaml)
- Automation using Ansible / Terraform
- Configuring network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Extended knowledge of Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switches routers and Aruba network equipment.
- Solid understanding of core networks / OSI model
- Capable of assisting on complex issues and resolving them
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, 802.1X)
- Experience with NAC solutions such as Cisco ISE
