The Global IT Director Technology Enablement leads teams in the Global Applications and Data Solutions department on Software development, application support, integration and architecture. With these teams the director drives the enablement, standardization, orchestration, and optimization of Trivium’s global application landscape. This includes translating strategic vision into team-level reality, ensuring alignment and synergy across all levels, guiding senior leaders and teams through change journeys, and applying proven techniques that deliver tangible impact.
The director is responsible for providing a solid foundation for Trivium’s application landscape and application support teams. Technical infrastructure is managed to business requirements, and support is setup in scalable structures with a focus on business continuity and adaptability. Secondly, the director defines and implements Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Agile practices across all IT teams, ensuring end-to-end ownership, independence, scalability, business continuity, and business alignment for all technology solutions. Additionally, the director facilitates integration and carve-out plans for M&A activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Technology Enablement:
• Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of Architecture, Application Lifecycle Management & Agile standards, tools, and processes such as Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines
• Defines and implements a standard way of working across the various IT Teams of GA&DS.
• Create and drive a culture of ownership, transparency, and accountability within and throughout the various technology teams.
• Design and build a future organization to cover the OT/IT scopes together with Security, IT Infra & Ops
Strategic Partnerships:
• Serve as a strategic partner to other functions and teams, ensuring IT foundations proactively support evolving needs and maximizes value
• Build centralized scalable (3rd party) services to support our business technology teams and ensure business continuity of our systems
Team Leadership & Development:
• Build and lead cross-functional Agile teams with broad skillsets, ensuring scalable capacity for projects and operational excellence
• Promote knowledge sharing, skill development, and a collaborative, fully transparent, feedback-driven culture.
• Grow AI and data adoption across Technology Enablement and Business Technology teams
Technology Operations & Architecture:
• Oversee the technical backbone and foundational platforms, including cloud infrastructure, API management, integrations, OT setup and data and AI solutions to support business solutions
• Ensure technology operations teams empower service teams with the right tools, standards, and independence.
Governance & Compliance:
• Ensure all technology solutions adhere to Trivium’s information security, enterprise architecture, and compliance standards, including GDPR, Data Governance and our IT Controls Framework.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to cross team solutions, technology foundations and ALM.
Continuous Improvement:
• Measure, learn, and adjust processes and solutions based on business feedback and operational data.
• Lead retrospectives and reviews to drive learning and improvement.
Education & Training:
• Technical master’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related field (preferred).
• Deep understanding of modern (cloud) technology platforms, ALM tools, and Agile methodologies, supported by certificates/diploma’s.
• Relevant training & courses in Organizational Change Management (incl. delegation, people management, strategy) and Project/Program Management
Experience:
• ALM/Agile Transformation: Minimum 10 years working experience leading (Agile/ALM) IT transformations
• Proven experience with core manufacturing industry applications like ERP, CRM, MES/SPM, and Data, AI and Analytics
• Technology Management: Minimum 10 years working experience in strategic functions in Software Development, Application Lifecycle Management and OT/IT integrations.
• Deep understanding of modern technology (cloud) platforms and development methodologies including Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD Pipelines
