The role of Director Enterprise Architecture & Portfolio Management (Director EA & PPM) is a new role that combines 3 core areas of Trivium’s CIO agenda:
1. Enterprise Architecture
2. IT Portfolio- and Demand Management & IT Governance across Trivium Packaging
3. IT Finance & Controls
The Director EA & PPM is end-responsible and leading Trivium’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice across all IT departments. He/she validates Trivium’s EA principles and implements and manages the necessary EA capabilities, processes, and governance across all IT departments. He/she manages Trivium’s EA Community, consisting out of IT Domain and IT Solution architects. The Director EA & PPM ensures the EA principles are deployed (over time) to all Trivium’s IT services, and actively manages the definition and management of architecture roadmaps for all key IT services provided to the Trivium organization. The Director EA & PPM coordinates the on-going IT Portfolio- and Demand Management process across all IT Departments to ensure consistency and completeness across the complete IT Portfolio. The Director EA & PPM acts as IT Business Partner for all global functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, R&D, Legal) and supports both the assigned IT Business Partners (each Division has an assigned IT Business Partner from the Global IT Leadership Team) as IT Service Owners in managing their IT Portfolio. The Director EA & PPM also organizes and manages the required governance meetings to align the IT Portfolio with key stakeholders and available budgets & resources.
The 3rd role of the Director EA & PPM is to ensure proper financial management across the IT organization, both for operational IT costs (OPEX) as investments (CAPEX), and ensure the effective management of a set of IT controls across the IT organization. The IT departments itself are responsible for managing their budgets and controls, but the Director EA & PPM oversees the overall IT financial reporting & budgeting process, aligns accounting rules and reporting for IT with Finance, and ensures adequate testing- and evidence for IT controls. This also includes the Procurement activities for all Global IT procurement needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Architecture (EA):
- Defining and maintaining Trivium’s Enterprise Architecture principles
- Coordinate EA community across Trivium and lead the development of EA capabilities across the EA community
- Defining and managing EA Governance across the IT Portfolio and IT organization, inc.
- adherence to EA principles, architecture decisions, architecture roadmaps, etc.
- Organize and chair the Architecture Review Board meetings
- Ensuring the definition and management of architecture roadmaps for all key IT services
- Coordinate architecture- and innovation roadmaps with Trivium’s key technology providers
IT Portfolio- and Demand Management and IT Governance:
- Define and implement IT Portfolio Management process across all IT departments
- Supports IT Business Partners and IT Service Owners in managing their part of the IT Portfolio
- IT Business Partner for all Global Functions in Trivium (Finance, HR, Procurement, ComEx, Legal, Sustainability, R&D)
- Align IT Portfolio with business priorities and available budgets and resources
- Organize and prepare required IT Governance meetings
- Ensure proper governance over IT projects and investments
IT Financials & Controls:
- Coordinate financial management processes across IT departments and Finance
- Align IT accounting principles and guidelines with Finance
- Coordinate the IT investment portfolio, incl. proper approval, budgeting, and reporting
- Ensure effective management (incl. evidence and testing) of Trivium’s IT Controls across all IT departments

Education & Training:
- Master in Business Administration, Business Information Management, Business Technology Management
- Relevant training & courses in Leadership (incl. delegation, people management, strategy)
- Relevant training & courses in Enterprise Architecture, Agile, Data Management
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience as Enterprise Architect with proven experience in Data
- Architectures, Enterprise Integration Architecture, Automation Architecture, and Industrial / Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience with IT Portfolio Management
- Proven experience with implementing Enterprise Architecture-driven way of working
- Strong experience in international industrial organizations
- Experience in managing distributed teams across in multiple countries (incl. outsourced offshore)
