Role Description

Trivium Packaging is driving a large-scale business transformation across her core functions. These transformation programs require strong support from IT to implement new and improved data-driven decision-making, gain better insights in performance, standardize- and simplify processes and supporting systems, and automate & digitalize processes. 
In this context, the Data CoE Lead plays a vital role in driving innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness within the organization by managing data in Trivium. The responsibilities center around organizing, leading and managing the Data Center of Excellence (CoE). The Data CoE is responsible to make data accessible and available for all stakeholders at the right quality. This includes integration, reporting, analytical and data science/ A.I.. 
In addition, the Data CoE Lead will be driving standardization in managing and utilizing data, setting up the relevant data governance and ensuring that the company significantly grows, across all the BU’s and Functions, in the maturity levels of producing and utilizing data.  
An early journey related to innovations around Machine learning & Artificial Intelligence use cases will also be pursued, as part of our ambitions to embrace the latest developments, in line with our business objectives.
This role plays a crucial part in the transformation journey of Trivium, driving improved business processes and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

•    Data Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive Data strategy aligned with the organization's objectives. Identify opportunities across various business functions, and contribute to their transformation agenda’s.
•    Team Leadership: Lead a team of (Offshore) data specialists and drive a culture of data excellence, innovation and collaboration. Attract, retain and develop talent and provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. 
•    Data Governance: Oversee data governance, Master data management, data security/privacy and data quality across the organization and support the team in establishment and enforcement of policies, standards and best practices. 
•    Data Analytics & Insights: Stimulate business analysts to use data in their daily work, supporting (through the CoE team) in identifying opportunities and providing tools, trainings & capabilities.
•    Data Architecture: Work with the architects to deliver a scalable, global data architecture that meets current and future business needs.
•    Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
•    Vendor Management: Manage relationships with automation technology vendors and service providers. Participate in contract negotiations and monitor service-level agreements.
•    Change Management: Drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of solutions across the organization. 
•    Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of solutions and initiatives. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to determine the return on investment (ROI) of projects. Monitor and track cost savings and efficiency gains. Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership.
•    Collaboration: Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, IT departments, and business stakeholders to align automation efforts with business objectives.

Education & Training:
•    Graduate degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, MBA, PhD etc)

 

Experience: 
•    > 5 yrs. experience leading a data department
•    Proven capability to work independently and manage multiple, competing demands
•    Strong relationship building with all primary and secondary stakeholders
•    Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
•    Strong English verbal and written presentation skills
