Primary Purpose:
Accountable for overseeing and improving overall plant quality through the implementation of process quality systems, while ensuring all quality related issues are addressed to achieve maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
· Responsible for maintenance of plant quality systems including but not limited to inspection and test method, work instructions, procedures, product specs, GMPs, Food Safety Compliance and best practices.
· Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives in plant quality.
· Responsible for insuring quality system adherence and all aspects of product integrity is maintained.
· Develop and drive supplier continuous improvement initiatives.
· Responsible for disposition of finished product by analyzing, and interpreting production and quality data; judging product acceptability relative to specifications.
· Key outside customer contact to maintain strong relationships, resolving quality issues, and ensuring technical and quality support.
· Responsible for leading plant root cause and corrective action investigations for customer complaints and internal quality nonconformance’s.
· Audit implementation of corrective actions implementation for customer complaints and internal quality nonconformance’s.
· Coordinate with Commercial, Product Development and Corporate Engineering regarding new business and product trials.
· Responsible for accurate and timely resolution of coating and mill supplier defective material claims.
· Ensure plant adherence to SMA principles and procedures.
· Responsible for the HFI system including balance, disposition, re-work and inventory levels.
· Ensure that plant quality procedures are properly completed.
· Ensure quality objectives (KPIs) are communicated with floor personnel and develop processes to promote compliance.
· Responsible for educating and instructing plant departmental leads and supervisors in process quality improvement methods, and GMPs.
· Prepare quality reviews and submit them to management.
· Assist in development of special plant projects and work in conjunction with Corporate Quality Assurance group.
· Continuous communication and interaction with all Ardagh Metal Packaging plants.
· Works closely with Human Resources to address and resolve personnel issues.
· Direct supervision of plant personnel; may vary by location.
· Other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
· Must possess strong analytical, computer, and communication skills.
· Driven and Energetic.
· Able to solve complex problems outside of normal processes.
· Ability to work with all levels of personnel.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in technical or relevant discipline.
· Minimum 8 years experience in manufacturing.
· 4 years quality experience.
· Excellent management/leadership aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification.
· Experience with can manufacturing improvement methods implementation.
Site Specific Qualifications:
· Experience managing self-directed work forces.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud outside of the office area. Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned Personal
Protective Equipment. Temperature can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>90 degrees). The atmosphere contains fumes, dust and odors.
