Job Summary:
Supporting the Core Values of Passion, Teamwork and Excellence and under the direction of the Operations Team Lead and/or Department Manager, the Process Technician is responsible for maintaining and operating all aspects of Chemical Process Equipment (including Water Treatment) throughout the plant to ensure Quality Compliance Specifications are achieved. The Process Technician is also responsible for running the production line, focused on the Back End of the 2PC line.
Job Duties:
- Advanced machine operation including independent troubleshooting, machine change overs, and operation of support equipment.
- Perform daily / department Safety checks to ensure safe work habits exist and to correct hazards.
- Perform all required quality activities and related documentation to ensure meeting all customer expectations.
- Leadership in the completion of all daily, monthly, and annual maintenance activities, preventative/predictive maintenance work orders and breakdown repairs.
- Work Directly with Maintenance Technicians, Electro-Mechanic Technicians and Electrical Specialists to ensure optimized maintenance activities in assigned areas.
- Maintain and improve on all established Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence activities and programs.
- Perform tests in SPC and react/escalate appropriately.
- Support all other team members by being an active On the Job Trainer.
- Support all inventory management activities as assigned.
- General Forklift operation and material movements as assigned.
- Timely support of all hold material processing including sorting and inspection (HFI)
- Material receipt, storage and inventory maintenance of chemicals used in the processing of metal food packaging.
- General Housekeeping and 5S of assigned areas.
- Shall understand the Food Safety Policy, GMP's, HACCP Principle and Food Safety Standard.
- Conduct audits of equipment and the process flow of the line.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Strong written/verbal communication skills in English as a single business language.
- Computer skills at level that can support the ability to complete inventory-based transactions (basic word/excel, APC)
- Arithmetic needed to complete cycle counting and inventory
- Demonstratable adherence to the Core Values of Passion, Teamwork and Excellence.
- Demonstrable experience with mechanical troubleshooting and conducting Root Cause Analysis
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices.
- Training, facilitation, mentorship
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or water treatment experience with at least 2 years (preferred) of Trivium Operator Technician experience.
- Forklift and Material handing experience preferred.
- Mechanical Aptitude and Proficiency as verified through standardized mechanical testing.

The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud outside of the office/lab area. Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned Personal Protective Equipment. Temperature can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>90 degrees). Environment is subject to strong vibrations, and exposure to frequent visual and audible alarms. The atmosphere contains fumes, dust, odors and chemicals used in metal manufacturing process.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, grip, pull, feel and talk or hear. The team member is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, including while working in confined spaces. The employee will need to work at computer and other electronic screens. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 75 pounds and frequently lift between 1- 50 pounds. There is no continual lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision as well as color recognition. Good hand eye coordination is necessary. Ability to work on, in, and around conveyors and high-speed mechanical equipment in a manufacturing and warehouse environment required.
