Purpose of the role
Ensure the quality of products and processes within the plant, guaranteeing compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and certifications, through effective control of production processes, management of non-conformities, and promotion of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Quality Governance
- Ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and certifications (ISO, BRC, customer audits)
- Guarantee the achievement of plant quality objectives
- Responsibility for product release/hold decisions
- Promote a quality culture and adherence to rules
Process & Quality Control Data
- Coordinate quality control activities and production monitoring, manage quality KPIs
- Ensure process stability and compliance with standards
- Oversee HFI data, raw materials, and in-process controls
- Analyze quality data and deliver structured reporting
- Identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
Non-Conformities & Complaints
- Manage internal non-conformities in real time by entering the quality database
- Analyze customer complaints (RCPS, analysis)
- Ensure traceability and manage complaint databases
Equipment & Technical Control
- Ensure proper utilization, calibration of instruments and metrology compliance
- Supervise quality control equipment and maintenance activities
- Define operating standards and instructions
Continuous Improvement
- Lead quality improvement projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering)
- Promote standardization and best practices
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop the quality team
- Ensure proper NC handling and sorting activities
- Optimize resources and organization
- Manage relationships with R&D, quality functions, and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Production on quality and training
- Support audits and cross-functional activities
Training & Capability
- Organize training on quality and product hygiene
- Develop competencies and manage the skill matrix
- Strengthen quality culture
- Design the local quality training materials
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Additional qualifications in Quality Management, Food Safety, or Industrial Processes are a plus
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Quality within a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Proven experience in: Quality Management Systems (ISO, GMP, audits) - Process control and product quality assurance - Non-conformity management and root cause analysis
- Experience in leading or coordinating quality teams in a plant environment
Technical Experience knowledge of
- Quality tools and methodologies (SPC, HARA, root cause analysis) - Data analysis and KPI management - Quality control equipment and metrology
Familiarity with continuous improvement approaches and cross-functional projects
Language
- Fluent French & English
