Reporting to the Supervisor on shift.
Role Description:
To assist in the day to day running of the can lines operating seamers, palletisers and slitters. Adhering to customer requirements within the manufacturing process.
Recording relevant information on time, including quality sheets for audit purposes. Carrying out required checks in accordance with our quality processes and ISO standards.
To assist in the production of component and cap manufacture to meet customer and quality standards recording relevant information in accordance with quality and ISO standards.
To assist in running of flex label machines to meet customer and quality requirements, recording relevant information in accordance with quality and ISO standards.
Any experience of coating operating or printing would be an advantage. FLT also an advantage.
Core Responsibilities:
- Palletiser operator - effectively load correct number of cans and layers per pallet, ensuring customer designs are not mixed and using correct labelling and administration.
- Seamer operator - effectively load correct rings and ends into hopper to correct bill of material. Clear wrecks if required. Generally, assist line crew with running of the line including housekeeping duties.
- Flex line operator - ensure correct materials /customer specifications are met. Load wrap and handle application.
- Cap /Rectangle press operation to meet correct customer specification and planning requirements.
- Can re-pack, to alternative customer requirements.
- Ensure production equipment/areas and workstations are always clean and tidy. Floor scrubber to be used in departments with painted floors.
- 5s project participation - cleaning, painting, sort materials.
- Quality - reworking of defective material, cleaning, doping, sorting and repairing.

- Abide with site Health & Safety requirements. Required PPE to be used at all times relevant to job function/task.
