Primary Purpose:

Supporting the Core Values of Passion, Teamwork and Excellence and under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor or Department Manager, The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating all inbound and outbound material movement activities of the warehouse team.

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Works closely with Supply Chain Leadership to facilitate daily task to warehouse personnel.
  • Act as a process leader and handle all warehouse process leadership activities as assigned by leadership.  This includes directing the work activities of others as needed to complete daily work assignments.
  • Maintain strong forklift operations experience to support the training and development of other team members.  This include participating in the forklift certification process as needed.
  • Serves as point of contact for all warehouse related SAP & Forklift terminal issues.
  • With Leadership support, coordinate all department compliance to corporate safety and security initiatives.
  • Audits daily forklift safety checks on department equipment and generates work orders for repairs through CMMS as needed.
  • Creates weekly outbound transfer orders for shipments going to customers and/or external warehouses.
  • Coordinate the correct movement of raw material, work in process and finished goods within the plant, working closely with dock forklift and production forklift operators to maintain organized process material flow and inventory.
  • Responsible for staying current with the status of all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Performs daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts as assigned by leadership.
  • Responsible for monitoring the activity of the warehouse and shipping yard to ensure all FIFO procedures are being met.
  • Ensure that receiving activities for incoming materials, MRO parts and all other incoming shipments are handled properly, inspected and documented.
  • Ensure external and internal customer demands and requests are satisfied at all times.
  • Coordinate all 5S and other CI initiates in the warehouse.
  • Shall understand the Food Safety Policy, GMP's, HACCP Principle and Food Safety Standard.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills in English as a single business language.
  • Computer skills at level that can support the ability to complete inventory-based transactions.
  • Demonstratable adherence to the Core Values of Passion, Teamwork and Excellence.
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices.

 

Education, Experience and Core Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of experience with inventory management systems required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suites at a functional level required.
  • Forklift and Material handing experience required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
