MRO/Inventory Coordinator

General Function:

Coordinates processes and activities of inventoried materials and MRO supplies. Employs processes and control mechanisms to ensure the inventory is used to generate the maximum profit from the least amount of inventory investment without impeding upon operational job demands.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Perform MRO, raw material and finished goods Inventory Cycle counts weekly by product
  • Daily plant inventory of high usage items and reconciliation for accuracy
  • Monthly plant inventory and reconciliation for accuracy
  • Actively evaluates inventory processes for inaccuracies and finds solutions that mitigate the issues going forward.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly inventory analysis to meet budgeted inventory goals.
  • MRO Inventory and balances (Purchase requisitions initiation, SAP input and problem Investigation/Resolution).
  • Investigation of undocumented receipts and returns.
  • Actively optimizes MRO inventory levels using min/max, restock MRO part shelves.
  • Maintain organized system for part recognition, identification including labeled parts, bins, location map, sign-outs, visual factory, 5S & Lean mythology
  • Maintain working relationship with vendors and continually challenge pricing advantages for competiveness.
  • Implements processes and procedures to create a long-term sustainable culture of accurate inventory accounting with maximized inventory turns.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years inventory management experience.
  • Ability to understand needs of customers and operations
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete administrative tasks as necessary
  • Must be Team oriented with good energy and initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • SAP or similar systems
  • Proven organization skills

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision as well as color recognition. Good hand-eye coordination is necessary.

The noise level in the work environment is loud. Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Temperatures can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>95 degrees). The atmosphere contains some fumes, dust and odors.
