The Plant Manager leads the Itupeva facility with full accountability for operational performance, financial results, and people development. This role requires a visible, hands-on leader with a servant-leadership style, a strong shop-floor presence, and a bias for action. Success is measured by safety, quality, delivery, cost, employee growth, and achievement of financial targets, including EBITDA and Operating Cash Flow (OCF). The Plant Manager ensures compliance with all legal requirements while supporting the Trivium Packaging business plan and long-term strategic objectives.

 

Responsibilities
•    Production Performance Management: Monitor and optimize key production indicators such as OEE, scrap rate, customer complaints, safety incidents, HFI, and setup times, ensuring continuous improvement in operational efficiency.
•    Operational Leadership: Lead daily management routines, including GGA meetings and critical performance reviews, ensuring execution of action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    People Management: Oversee workforce strategy including time tracking, vacation planning, recruitment, terminations, shift alignment, performance monitoring, evaluations, and feedback, fostering a culture of accountability and engagement.
•    Production Planning: Collaborate with the Production Planning and Control (PPC) team to ensure efficient scheduling aligned with demand and plant capacity.
•    Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Customer Service, PPC, and Finance to align production goals with sales targets and delivery timelines, ensuring customer satisfaction and business profitability.
•    Cost Control: Manage production-related costs including overtime, turnover, and consumption of critical materials, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
•    Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations, promoting a proactive culture of risk prevention and compliance within the team.
•    Capex and Opex Management: Plan, control, and analyze capital and operational expenditures, ensuring optimal resource utilization and alignment with budgetary goals.
•    Economic Analysis of Production: Evaluate labor and material consumption to identify cost-saving opportunities and process optimization strategies.
•    Facility Maintenance Standards: Develop and implement procedures to maintain factory aesthetics and functionality (cleaning, painting, organization), ensuring a safe and productive environment for employees and equipment.
•    Strategic Responsibility: Represent the plant in regional/global leadership forums, contributing operational insights to corporate decision-making and ensuring alignment with sustainability, innovation, and growth objectives.

 

Eduction and Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in a related business or technical field, or equivalent education and experience.
•    Advanced English and Spainsh
•    Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in metal packaging or aluminum transformation.
•    Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
•    Proficiency in production planning systems (ERP/MRP).
•    Solid financial acumen related to manufacturing cost structures (Capex/Opex).
•    Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations and standards.
•    Strong leadership and team development skills.
•    Strategic thinking and decision-making under pressure.
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
•    Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
•    High level of accountability and integrity.
