The Responsibilities
- Strategic Commercial Leadership: Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with corporate goals to accelerate growth, improve market positioning, and ensure long-term business sustainability. Define and leads the commercial vision and strategy for the company in South America, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
Oversees strategic planning for market expansion, portfolio diversification, and long-term customer partnerships. - Market Intelligence & Business Planning: Be able to interpret market research and competitive analysis to identify business opportunities (expansion, new segments, product development) and create actionable business plans.
- Customer Relationship Management: Understand and anticipate customer needs, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement and tailored solutions.
- Business Development: Lead efforts to acquire new customers and expand into new markets, while managing and strengthening relationships with existing clients.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Oversee and coordinate the activities of Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, R&D, and Commercial Excellence teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across functions and across geographic region.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze key commercial metrics, preparing strategic reports and insights for senior leadership to support decision-making.
- Contract & Portfolio Management: Secure long-term business through strategic contract negotiations, and lead the development and launch of new products in the South American markets.
- Financial Accountability: Owns the commercial P&L, ensuring revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost efficiency across all commercial operations.
- External Representation: Represents the company in key industry forums, customer negotiations, and strategic partnerships.
Education and Experience
- BSc or MSc in Marketing, Business Management or related studies.
- Fluent English, Portuguese and Spanish are required.
- International experience and/or exposure is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape in the packaging or industrial manufacturing sector.
- Proven ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, partnerships, and product innovations.
- Strong grasp of P&L management, pricing strategies, contract negotiation, and financial forecasting.
- Experience in leading product development and commercialization, especially in B2B industrial environments.
- Proficiency in using CRM, BI tools, and commercial performance dashboards to guide strategy and execution.
- Familiarity with legal and compliance aspects of commercial operations, including long-term contracts and customer agreements.
- Ability to define and communicate a compelling commercial vision aligned with corporate strategy.
- Skilled in managing internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, customers, and partners.
- Experience in building and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, R&D, Customer Service, and Commercial Excellence.
- Strong orientation toward delivering customer value and enhancing satisfaction.
- Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and drive innovation in products, services, and go-to-market strategies.
- Commitment to integrity, transparency, and compliance in all commercial activities.
