In 1924 the ‘Drenthina’ can making facility was established in an old barn in Hoogeveen, making cans for the local dairy market. Nowadays, almost 100 years later, Trivium Packaging Hoogeveen is one of Triviums flagship plants with a highly skilled workforce of 350-400 FTE and a full focus on can making for the IFT market. Every day we are working according to the highest industry standards for Infant Nutrition. In Hoogeveen we produce cans and ends in several dimensions and we are a specialized in printing and lacquering the metal sheets for the Hoogeveen plant, as well as other Nutrition Factories.
The global head office is at the World Trade Center at Amsterdam Airport, however many people work in virtual teams from different countries. The culture is results-driven, entrepreneurial, informal, and highly multicultural. 

HR Business Partner Hoogeveen
Location: Netherlands Hoogeveen
Start date: As soon as possible


The HR Business Partner supports the delivery of the HR business strategy for one of our Business Units in Hoogeveen. You will work in partnership with the business to provide specialist coaching and support, enabling the departments to effectively deliver their people plans. In this role you provide best practice HR Services and focused HR solutions that support the business area in cooperation with other specialist HR functions including compensation & benefits, learning & development and HR Operations.

You are part of the local HR team, which consists of you and a HR Manager. You will also work closely together with our Shared Services Department.

Main responsibilities and key tasks:

Reporting directly to the Site Human Resources Manager, you will cover the entire HR function; 
•    Work with the local departments to ensure professional HR support in all HR issues related recruitment, performance management, organizational and people development.
•    Provide managers with advice adapted to the operational situations as well as in compliance with legislation, contractual obligations and labor laws to make sure that Trivium is compliant.
•    Participate in the development of the site's training policy and ensure the management of the training plan 
•    Support the development and delivery of business unit related topics e.g. development activities, small organization or structure changes.
•    Responsible for providing assistance and guidance to line management on a broad and local range of human resource policies programs and practices.


You are a member of the Global HR team and are working in close cooperation with the Plant Manager and the department managers of the unit.


Job requirements:


•    Bachelor/Master degree;
•    At least 3 years of HR experience (generalist or specific) in a Dutch environment. For example, currently working as HR Business Partner/ HR Advisor);
•    Expertise in a production environment;
•    Knowledge of labor law and collective agreements;
•    Experience with Talent Acquisition / Employability and or Learning & Development is a plus;
•    Ability to work in a matrix structure
•    Well organized, able to focus on several issues and prioritize effectively;
•    Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
•    Knowledge of  SuccesFactors (global HR system) is a plus.
