Finance Intern (General Ledger)
Job Location:  Budapest
Contract Type:  Trainee
Remote/Hybrid/Onsite:  Hybrid

 

Purpose of the role: 

The Finance Intern will support the finance team by assisting with various accounting tasks. This includes helping with monthly closings, account analysis, and other routine tasks as needed. The intern will gain valuable experience in the finance department while learning about compliance with legal standards and organizational policies.

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Follow work instructions, guides
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Prepare assigned reports
  • Assistance in preparation of analysis of accounts as requested
  • Manage requested transactions
  • Perform/assist in account reconciliation preparations
  • Perform fixed asset capitalization and disposal
  • Usage of the company ERP system (SAP)
  • Usage of Blackline
  • Basic understanding of Company Chart of Accounts logic BS/PL
  • Assist and learn how to ensure compliance with internal and external controls, fiscal, tax, local, and corporate requirements under the guidance of the finance team 

 

This role will suit you if you have the following:

  • Active Full-time student status in Hungary
  • University studies in Business Management, Finance or Accounting or related fields
  • Must have completed at least 1 of university studies
  • Analytical/Logical thinking and interest in these areas
  • 0-1 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Any relevant experience is considered an advantage
  • Basic Computer and Excel skills
  • Confident communication in English
  • Availability to work 20+ hours per week - not necessarily mean 4 hours per day; we are flexible and can accommodate exam schedules. If available for more than 20 hours, it is an advantage.
