The Role

As a MES Electrical Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing, implementing, and supporting OT data acquisition systems on the industrial interface side. Collaborating with IT experts, line control specialists, and local engineers, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes while adhering to Trivium's commitment to information security and sustainability.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Determine direction towards the new OT applications by researching new technology.
  • Lead the implementation of OT data acquisition projects focused on line Monitoring and Quality systems
  • Conduct site surveys and document findings to inform project planning and execution.
  • Install and program automation solutions to enable seamless data acquisition.
  • Configure monitoring and quality systems to meet operational requirements.
  • Provide global support for OT domain implementation and optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with local engineers and infrastructure teams to ensure the successful deployment of OT solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Trivium's information security policies throughout OT implementation.
  • Program PLCs and interfaces to facilitate efficient data acquisition processes

Education & Training:

  • 4+ years of PLC programming experience preferable Siemens or Allen Bradley systems
  • Strong understanding of industrial interface technologies and networks such as OPC, TCP/IP and Modbus.
  • Experience with production and testing/inspecting machines.
  • Basic knowledge of automation principles and equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and lead projects to successful completion.

 

Experience:

  • Proven ability to manage project tasks, timelines, and communication effectively.
  • Ability to communicate directly with internal customers, plant teams, managers and stakeholders while leading development to a completed and successful solution.
  • Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication
  • Nice to have: 2+ years of .NET development experience using C# and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Nice to have: Microsoft SQL Server knowledge (read/write, but no maintenance required for this position)
