Role Description

The R&D EOE system specialist and field service is an expert in the easy open-end technology used in our

industry.

His/her responsibilities include:

  • Support new easy open-end conversion system preparation & installation.
  • Support installation and test modifications of sub-systems on existing conversion systems.
  • Support maintenance activity for easy open-end conversion presses.

 

This support is executed in relation with the relevant engineering groups in Trivium, from the vendors or from

the operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply safety, environment, 5S standards and rules.
  • Assemble and test any conversion systems or sub systems in conversion presses.

 

This includes

  • tooling and press system components (transfers, lubrication, guards, safety sensors…).
  • Installation on site of any such systems in collaboration with plants.
  • Establish trouble shooting diagnostics and propose solutions. Therefore, the field service engineer is able to evaluate the consequences of the modifications through the proper understanding of the easy open-end performances and their evaluation.
  • Review / comment engineering documentation.
  • Test and prototype new product or product improvement.
  • Maintain the Crosmières EOE system area of the workshop in optimum operative conditions related to safety and local rules. Ensure the EOE system workshop capabilities are in line with new EOEsystem technology improvements & changes.

 

 

Education & Training:

  • Mechanical setter experience in a related field with preferably a more than 5 years experience in arelated field.
  • Experience with stamping / metal forming equipment is preferred either in a production or in a systemmanufacturing environment.
  • Local language and / or English
  • MS Office, standard applications

 

Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in system assembly.
  • Experience in product development.
