Job Duties:   

Under the direction of the Operational Team Leader and/or general supervision, is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines to produce ends within prescribed quality specifications, using established Best Practices.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance tasks within an established computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Adhere to documented quality, operational, and visual standards, and procedures to support and protect our partners’ brands.
  • Provide accurate communication of safety, quality, and deliverables within available documentation systems.
  • Setup, run, adjust, repair, evaluate, and maintain end line equipment.
  • Promote the Trivium Production System (TPS) to support people development through communication and the utilization of standard processes to identify and solve problems.
  • Perform equipment troubleshooting as necessary to eliminate defects.
  • Assist in trial runs, defective product isolation/sorting, and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Forklift operations as required via internal certification program.
  • Comply with safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including BRC Food Safety Standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
     

Education & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Professional certificate/license in industrial or mechanical skills preferred
  • High volume manufacturing preferred

 

Starting Pay Range: 

  • $22.00 - $24.42 per hour

The employee is occasionally required to kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, and smell.  The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision as well as color recognition.

 

Work Environment:  The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud outside of the office area.  Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned Personal Protective Equipment.  Temperature can range from cold (<60 degrees) to extreme heat (>90 degrees).  The atmosphere contains fumes, dust, and odors.
