Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Technical Manager or general supervision, this position will maintain all aspects of the electrical equipment throughout the plant using a variety of tools and diagnostic equipment to maintain all end-making and auxiliary equipment.
Job Duties:
- Ensures proper functioning of all electrical units in the facility and all scheduled checks are complete.
- Run conduit, wiring, hook up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressers, transformers, motor starters, relays, timers, and motors.
- Manage and complete all work orders.
- Read engineering drawings and schematics, while also keeping them up to date.
- Maintain vision inspection system by modifying and writing programs and servicing hardware.
- Maintain plant PLC’s (modify and write programs, download, upload), sensors, network (LAN), phone lines.
- Diagnose motor conditions, replace gear motors.
- Maintain proper lighting throughout plant which includes changing light bulbs, fixtures, and ballast.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems in all departments.
- Coordinates work functions with co-workers and other organizational departments.
- Assist in general plant maintenance.
- May be required to work on plant projects.
- Shall understand the Food Safety Policy, GMP’s, HACCP Principle and Food Safety Standard.
- Forklift / Aerial Lift Operation.
- Be available for call-out in cases of emergencies and breakdowns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent Technical School Degree / Certification or equivalent industrial experience.
- Proficient working knowledge of 480V 3 phase systems, 220 v and 110 v systems.
- Proficient computer skills
- Able to present ideas / issues effectively, actively listen, and work across functional boundaries with the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
- Working knowledge of N.E.C. codes
- PLC maintainer (Allen Bradley, SLC-5/04, ControlLogix, RSLogix, RSLinx)
- Industrial experience preferred.
Starting Hourly Wage:
$24.05 - $26.69

Work Environment:
This position works in a manufacturing environment and around machinery that produces noise. The noise level in the work environment is very loud. Employees must wear hearing protection and all other assigned personal protective equipment. Temperature can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>95 degrees). The atmosphere contains fumes, dust, and odors.
