Job Summary:

The network engineer role is multifaceted and responsible for all Trivium network, network security and voice/video environments. Core responsibilities include the deployment, maintenance, and support of the environments according to Trivium hardware, software and security standards.

 

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with Trivium network architects to refine network, network security, and voice/video standards, setting the benchmark for excellence in the industry.
  • Deploy and maintain Trivium's network, security, and voice/video environments, leveraging the latest Cisco hardware and software technologies to ensure ultimate end-user performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and associated procedures for the Trivium network
  • Drive continuous improvement (performance, capacity, process) through development, maintenance and monitoring of reporting/monitoring systems
  • Resolve network related technical issues while working in conjunction with the global and regional support teams
  • Work with state of art automation technologies reducing boring reoccurring tasks.
  • Take ownership and lead local teams helping troubleshoot and resolve network related issues
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned

 

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

 

  • 5+ years relevant industry experience
  • Working knowledge of the latest Cisco & VMware LAN and WAN technology
  • Experience implementing network technology along with incident/problem-solving solutions in complex/industrial environments
  • Experience in driving, implementing, and governing hardware, solution, and process standardization
  • Ability to work with a virtual team in an international environment
  • Natural problem solver, flexible and able to prioritize tasks under pressure
  • Desire to grow and take on additional responsibilities
  • Broad knowledge of technical best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Prior manufacturing industry experience desired

 

 

Work Environment:

This position is a hybrid position working both on-site and in a remote capacity. The position requires working in an office environment where sitting for prolonged periods of time and using a computer, telephone and other office electronics are critical. This position will also need to visit the various plant locations and spend time out on the plant floors where moving machinery produces noise.
