Job Summary: Key responsibilities for the Account Manager are to manage all commercial aspects of assigned customers to achieve Strategic Plan commitments. This person will function as the primary liaison between existing and prospective customers and Trivium Customer Service, Technical, Engineering, R&D, Quality and Operations Personnel.  The Account Manager also will have primary account responsibility for other customers where geographic synergies can be realized.   
 

Job Duties:
•    Manage all accounts that are assigned by the overall account and management of the day-to day relationship, including account planning, forecasting, inventory, etc.  

•    Work cross functionally across Trivium internal teams to ensure best in class customer service.
•    Develop and design a customer centric driven strategy. 
•    Increase long term customer loyalty.
•    Organize and lead customer collaboration and innovation workshops.
•    Own the communication and presentation of the Trivium value proposition. 
•    Secure new business by commercializing new projects. 
•    Lead or support long term supply agreement negotiations. 
•    Identify and capture key consumer and market insights, growth opportunities and customer priorities. 
•    Ensures assignments meet established standards and deadlines.  
•    Manage all aspects of new customer acquisition, qualifications and commercialization.
•    Implement strategic sales plans to achieve corporate objectives.
•    Prepare and deliver sales presentations to key clients.
•    Obtain customer requirements and devise timely solutions.
•    Manage customer expectation in delivering new product solutions.
•    Recommend product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items.
•    Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
•    Prepare periodic customer technical and sales reports showing forecasts, sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
•    Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
•    Recommend budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.
•    Identify and attend relevant professional development training.
•    Travel to customer sites and Trivium production facilities. 
•    Expected travel: 50-75% 
•    Perform all other job duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

•    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and minimum 8 years of B2B industrial sales, managing customer accounts, preferably with industrial-oriented food packaging. 
•    History of delivering customer value, working as a trusted advisor with clients.  
•    Proven track record of generating revenue/profit growth. 

•    Ability to effectively manage sales’ budgets
•    In-depth involvement in business strategy development as well as linking strategy to execution. 
•    Highly skilled in negotiation techniques 
•    Ability to build strong relationships across multiple functions with internal and external customers and team.
•    Ability to work with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot-table experience a plus) and PowerPoint.
•    Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and integrity 
•    Highly organized and motivated self-starter
•    Experience in customer collaboration and joint business planning – how to work with customers to drive profitable growth and formulate business solutions based on customer insights. 


Work Environment: This position is remote-based and will require travel to client sites as well as production facilities as needed.  The role encompasses sitting for prolong periods of time and using a computer, telephone and other office electronics are critical. This position will also need to visit various plant locations where moving machinery produces noise.
