Job Description

Role Summary

The A&B EU CVO Ends Technical Manager is responsible for providing technical support to WED (Wedel Factory, Germany) and CVO (Cassolnovo) plants for the Aerosol ENDS process. The role includes ownership of tool development, tool manufacturing and in-house spare parts production for the entire Business Unit. The role will report to the plant manager.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical support for plant departments regarding technical problems and specific CAPEX/OPEX/CR/PPW projects

- Define a roadmap to ensure competitiveness between Aerosol production sites, including equipment usage and metal specification optimization

- Collaborate with TAM (technical account manager) on lacquering systems and backups

- Initiate or execute design phases for CAPEX related to component manufacturing

- Regularly visit ERF (Germany), SKR(Czech Republic), SUT (England) plants for technical alignment and opportunity identification

- Deliver problem-solving training sessions

- Support TAMs, CI, and Quality Control in claim management and best practice implementation

- Optimize tooling supply strategy and validate alternative backups

- Support the new Presses Department Manager at CVO

KPIs & Deliverables

- Integration of toolmaking between CVO & WED

- Coherent tool maintenance practices

- Execution of CAPEX and cost reduction initiatives

- Successful implementation of component manufacturing CAPEX

Key Business Contacts

- Member of component development and footprint teams

- R&D collaboration for standardization and downgauging

- Interaction with can-making departments to ensure functional component design

- Involvement in material development and qualification

- Work with OSG (specialized technician) on equipment choices and CAPEX estimates

Qualifications

- Technical degree (BSc/MSc preferred, Mechanical Engineering)

- Extensive training in component technologies and toolmaking

- 5–10 years of manufacturing experience

- Proven experience in process improvement

- Fluency in English and local language

Competencies

- Autocad expert

- Root-cause problem solving, analytical thinking, data-driven decision making, project management, strong communication skills

- Motivation, responsibility, accuracy and reliability. Follow high standard projects

- Ability to travel
