At Trivium Packaging, we believe people are at the heart of our success. For our manufacturing site in Buftea, Romania, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Senior HR Generalist who will play a key role in supporting our employees, managers, and business objectives.

As the primary HR contact for the Buftea plant, you will provide both strategic guidance and operational HR support, working closely with the HR Manager Buftea & VAJA and partnering with leaders across the organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys a broad role with real influence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do

• Act as the trusted HR partner for plant management and employees on all HR-related matters.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, promotions, and offboarding.
• Coordinate payroll and benefits administration in partnership with external providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Romanian labour legislation and keep the organization informed of relevant regulatory changes.
• Lead employee relations and disciplinary processes with professionalism and integrity.
• Support talent development initiatives, training programs, and succession planning activities.
• Monitor attendance, absenteeism, employee engagement, and workforce trends, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Coordinate occupational health activities and support a safe and compliant workplace.
• Maintain HR documentation, job descriptions, internal regulations, and employee records.
• Prepare HR reports and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Drive effective internal communication and contribute to a positive employee experience.

What You Bring

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a broad HR Generalist role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of Romanian labour law, payroll processes, and HR administration.
• Experience managing recruitment and employee relations processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while building strong relationships across the business.
• Good command of English and Romanian.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and employment legislation.
• Experience working with HR systems and reporting tools.
