Purpose of the role: 

 

As a Talent Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of talent development and optimization within the organization.

You will report into Director of Talent and collaborate closely with HR Managers, HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and other key stakeholders to implement effective talent management strategies.

Your responsibilities will encompass support with talent assessment, succession planning, performance management, career development, talent utilization, talent analytics, talent projects and ensuring adherence to best practices.

 

Your responsibilities: 

 

Talent Assessment:

  • Conduct regular assessments of employee skills, strengths, and areas for development in collaboration with HR Managers/HRBPs.
  • Identify high-potential employees and create development plans to nurture their talents.
  • Collaborate with managers to provide feedback and support for employee growth.

Succession Planning:

  • Develop succession plans for key positions within the organization to ensure continuity and minimize disruption, partnering with HR Managers/HRBPs.
  • Identify potential successors for critical roles and implement strategies to prepare them for advancement.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee performance management processes, including objective-setting, performance reviews, and feedback mechanisms in partnership with the Head of Talent.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and HRBPs in addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement

Career Development:

  • Facilitate career development conversations between employees, HRBPs, and managers.
  • Provide resources and support for employees to enhance their skills and advance their careers within the organization.
  • Collaborate with managers to create career paths and opportunities for growth.

Workforce Planning:

  • Identify opportunities for talent deployment and resource allocation to support business objectives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to maximize the impact of talent across the organization.
  • Partner with managers and HRBPs to ensure that talent is effectively utilized and aligned with project needs.

Talent Analytics:

  • Utilize data and analytics to track talent metrics and assess the effectiveness of talent management initiatives.
  • Identify trends and patterns to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in talent management processes.

Best Practices:

  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimize talent management strategies.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Conduct UAT testing and follow-up testing as necessary to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of talent management systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create work instructions, KBAs, and process maps related to talent management procedures.
  • Assist in ad-hoc report running and defining Power BI report needs.
  • Assist in ad-hoc talent management process related system requests.

  • Proven experience in talent management, HR, or related field.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and talent management software, preferably Success Factors.
