Purpose of the role:

In this role, you'll be the backbone of our accounting function. Your responsibilities will span from crafting meticulous journal entries, maintaining impeccable balance sheet schedules and ledgers, to executing precise account reconciliations. But that's not all – you'll also take the lead in managing monthly closings and conducting in-depth account analysis.

Guiding and coaching junior accountants will be second nature to you as you help shape the future of our accounting department. And throughout all these responsibilities, you'll be the guardian of compliance, ensuring that our financial practices adhere to the highest professional legal standards and our organization's stringent policies and procedures.

Your responsibilites: 

  • Participation of month end closing: 
    • Calculate & prepare & review journal entries
    • Complete general ledger operations
    • Manage the monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
    • Processing revaluation
    • Manage complex end to end accounting, month end closing processes
    • Support reporting to HFM, eliminate validation errors
    • Draw up monthly financial reports
    • Assistance in preparation of analysis of accounts as requested
    • Lead/manage year-end closings
    • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyse accounts
  • Proactively come up with new ideas
  • Drive standardization efforts
  • Manage projects 
  • Ensure timely processing of assigned tasks in accordance with Closing Calendar
  • Ensure manual entries executed on time and correctly within the period in the ERP
  • Ensure BS reconciliations are done efficiently, required adjustments are resolved
  • Understanding of Company Chart of Accounts logic BS/PL
  • Comply with internal and external controls, fiscal, tax, local and corporate requirements

This role will suit you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Certified Public Accountant is an advantage
  • At least 4 years of experince in Accounting / Finance at a multinational company or SSC environment
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
  • Knowledge of accounting& finance  principles and practices is required
  • Knowledge of financial reporting is an advantage
  • Solid ERP (SAP) accounting experience is required
  • Consolidation tool (HFM) experience is required
  • Fluency in English, Other European language is an advantage
