Purpose of the role: 

 

The role of Cash Accountant falls under the broader career category of Accountants with a specialization to manage the company cash and bank related transactions, analysis. This role is responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and accounts, and preparing bank reconciliations. Actively participating the monthly closings and account analysis.

Leading/managing monthly  closings and account analysis and coach/support the junior accountants in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.

 

Your responsibilities: 

Prepare weekly cash forecast

Prepare journal entries

Complete general ledger operations

Actively participate in monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements revaluation, carry forward, validation of data, support reporting to HFM

Draw up monthly financial reports

Assistance in preparation of analysis of accounts as requested

Assist with year-end closings

Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable conduct analyses as requested by management.

Prepare audit schedules relating, and assist the auditors in their inquiries.

Monitor and resolve bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences

Account/bank reconciliations

Comply with internal and external controls, fiscal, tax, local and corporate requirements

This role will suit you if you have the following:

  • College degree in accounting or finance
  • Certified Public Accountant is an advantage
  • 2-4 years experience in Accounting / finance
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
  • Solid ERP (SAP) accounting experience is required
  • Consolidation tool (HFM) experience is required
  • Previous experience of Cash and Bank accounting is an advantage
  • Fluency in English, Other European language (Spanish, German, Italian) is an advantage
