Purpose of the role: 

 

The Procurement Operations Manager plays a key role in driving Trivium’s global procurement transformation by leading operational procurement activities across the EMEA region. This role focuses on optimizing Procure-to-Pay processes, managing a team of indirect buyers and team leads, and ensuring operational excellence. The Procurement Operation Manager supports category teams, oversees performance reporting, and fosters alignment with strategic business goals while championing standardization, digital enablement, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Your responsibilities: 

 

1. Team Leadership & People Development

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a diverse team of procurement professionals which includes Indirect Buyers, Team Leaders and Interns, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a mentor to team members, supporting their professional growth and development through regular feedback, goal setting, and performance reviews.
  • Promote a high-performing team environment that aligns with Trivium’s values and transformation goals.

 

2. Operational Procurement Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day Procure-to-Pay operations across EMEA, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery to internal stakeholders.
  • Support category teams in executing sourcing strategies and achieving savings targets through operational alignment and executional excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and controls across all operational activities.

 

3. Process Governance & Standardization

  • Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes, including Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay, and Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Establish and maintain governance models, standardized workflows, and performance measurement tools to ensure consistency and transparency.
  • Monitor process performance and recommend enhancements to align with evolving business needs.

 

4. Performance Management & Reporting

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement operations.
  • Provide regular performance updates to business and operational leadership, ensuring visibility into service levels and improvement areas.
  • Collaborate with category teams on annual goal setting and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support category-led initiatives by ensuring strong operational alignment and executional support from the Procurement Operations team, contributing to the achievement of departmental savings targets.
  • Proactively drive savings initiatives owned by the Procurement Operations team, in line with the collaboration guidelines that define responsibilities and ownership within the Indirect Procurement team, contributing to EBITDA, working capital, and cost avoidance targets.

 

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across EMEA and business units to ensure alignment and responsiveness to operational needs.
  • Act as a change agent, leading communication, training, and engagement initiatives to support procurement transformation.
  • Champion adoption of new tools, systems, and ways of working that enhance efficiency and user experience.

 

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration within the BSC

  • Actively contributes to the success of the overall Business Services Center by fostering strong collaboration with Finance, Master Data, HR, IT, and other enabling functions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of procurement operations with shared service processes to deliver high-quality, consistent service to internal stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of partnership, transparency, and service excellence across all BSC teams.

 

 

 

This role will suit you if you have the following:

 

  • Strong financial and business acumen, with a solid understanding of procurement levers impacting EBITDA, working capital, and cost avoidance.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing procurement teams in a dynamic, international environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale change initiatives and drive process improvement across end-to-end procurement operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience in performance tracking and KPI reporting.
  • Effective communicator with outstanding presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions such as Finance, Master Data, HR, and IT.
  • Familiarity with shared service center environments and service delivery models.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
