Purpose of the role: 

 

You will be responsible for supporting the Indirect Procurement department, working closely with the indirect buyers in their daily administrative tasks and preparing supplier negotiations (including data collection, PPT creation, and reporting activities).
You will mainly support the indirect procurement function, with backup support for direct procurement activities as needed.

The aim of the role is to give you the opportunity to become familiar with a professional environment, understand how an organization operates, gain practical experience and skills, and explore potential career directions.

You will report to the Country Procurement Team Leader.
This role will be based in Budapest.

 

Your responsibilities: 

 

  • Processing purchase requests (PRs) for indirect goods and services and converting them into purchase orders (POs) on a daily basis.
  • Rolling out requests for quotes to suppliers, evaluating incoming offers, and finalizing the best option for PO issuance.
  • Supporting the Buyer in preparing supplier negotiations with the local supplier base to achieve optimal price, lead time, payment terms, and compliance with General Terms & Conditions.
  • Addressing invoice discrepancies and resolving price mismatches between POs and invoices.
  • Checking vendor master data by reviewing the completeness of supplier onboarding documentation.
  • Supporting buyers in implementing category strategies and tender results across the organization.
  • Ensuring that new contract terms—such as prices and payment terms—are accurately reflected in the ERP system, annual orders, blanket POs, and vendor master data.
  • Supporting the department in optimizing and completing administrative tasks.
  • Supporting ad‑hoc requests related to data analysis and metrics generation.

 

 

This role will suit you if you have the following:

 

  • Active full-time student status in Hungary
  • Must have completed at least 1 year of university studies
  • University studies in Supply Chain, Accounting or similar are welcomed but not necessary
  • Any relevant working experience is considered an advantage
  • Confident communication in English, any second language such as German, Dutch, Italian, Polish, Czech or French is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proactiveness
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills desired
  • Ability to keep deadlines
  • Able to work either in teams or alone if needed
  • Confident user in Office 365 products (mainly Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Availability to work 30-40 hours per week –we are flexible and can accommodate exam schedules.
  • Ability to commit to the role for at least 12 months; longer availability is considered an advantage.
