Purpose of the role: 

The IT Network Connectivity & Data Analytics team ensures the company’s network is secure, stable, and data‑driven. This intern role is designed to provide practical experience in Cisco networking, log analysis, and basic cybersecurity tasks.

As an intern, you will support the team by analyzing network logs, identifying anomalies, and contributing to security‑improvement actions while collaborating with senior engineers and the security team. The role offers real project exposure and a solid foundation in network operations and data analytics.

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Log Monitoring & Analysis – Collect, clean, and analyse Cisco switch/router, firewall, and ACL logs and create ACLs
  • Security Gap Identification – Detect anomalies, mis‑configurations, and potential threats; produce weekly findings.
  • Recommendations & Proposals – Develop actionable security‑hardening measures (ACL refinement, network segmentation, IDS/IPS tuning).
  • Cisco Support – Assist with basic Cisco device configuration, VLAN setup, and troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with senior engineers, AI analysts, and the security team on cross‑functional projects.

 

This role will suit you if you have the following:

  • Active Full-time student status in Hungary
  • University studies in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related
  • Must have completed at least 1 year of university studies
  • Any relevant experience is considered an advantage
  • Confident communication in English
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Basic Cisco networking knowledge (routing, switching, VLANs)
  • Understanding of Access Control Lists (ACLs) and firewall concepts
  • Proficiency in data analysis & visualization (Excel, Pythonpandas, PowerBI/Tableau)
  • Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell or Bash is an advantage
  • Availability to work 32-40 hours per week - we are flexible and can accommodate exam schedules
  • Ability to commit to the role for at least 6 months; longer availability is considered an advantage, and we are also open to considering that
