Purpose of the role: 

 

The Finance Global Process Owner (GPO) is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic design, governance, and continuous improvement of end-to-end finance processes across Purchase to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and Record to Report (R2R). This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the global finance operating model, ensuring standardization, compliance, and operational excellence by aligning process execution with enterprise-wide objectives and transformation initiatives. The GPO serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making and driving cross-functional alignment across corporate functions.

 

Your responsibilities: 

 

  • Define and maintain global process standards, policies, and controls for P2P, O2C, and R2R.
  • Ensure alignment with internal control frameworks, regulatory requirements, and enterprise risk management.
  • Lead strategic process improvement initiatives, including automation, simplification, and digitalization across global finance operations.
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, and transformation teams to implement enabling technologies (e.g., ERP, workflow tools, AI) and drive adoption.
  • Partner with regional and functional leaders, senior leadership, and corporate functions (e.g., HR, IT, Compliance, Procurement, Sales) to ensure process adoption, alignment with strategic priorities, and governance adherence across all business units.
  • Act as a key liaison between operational execution and executive decision-making, translating strategic goals into actionable process frameworks and ensuring visibility of process performance at the leadership level.
  • Establish KPIs and process health metrics; monitor performance across BSC locations and drive accountability.
  • Benchmark processes against industry standards and lead the implementation of best practices.
  • Develop global training programs and change management strategies to support process rollouts and cultural transformation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and process discipline across the finance organization.
  • Act as system owner of different Finance tools including Blackline, Xsuite, Concur, Workiva

 

 

This role will suit you if you have the following:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in finance operations, shared services, or global process transformation.
  • Proven track record in leading global process initiatives across multiple geographies and business units.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), finance automation tools, and digital transformation frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic project management skills.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certification.
  • Experience in a matrixed, multinational organization with complex governance structures.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change without direct authority.
