The Plant HR Manager functions as the local HR business partner for the manufacturing sites to align HR objectives with strategic organization objectives in the plant. In addition to the business partnership responsibilities, this is also an operational role, actively involved in the day-to-day HR activities and supporting the efficient functioning of the plants.
The position covers our manufacturing sites in Beaurepaire (BEA), Veauche (VEA) and Villeneuve-sur-Lot (VSL).

 

Principal accountability I Plant HR Manager:

  • As a member of the plant management team, this role collaborates closely with plant leadership to improve customer satisfaction, achieve operational objectives, and deliver strong business results.
  • Support and advise the plant management team on all HR related matters. Act as a coach and challenger, ensuring that the Trivium code of conduct and company values are applied consistently in daily actions and decisions.
  • Develop effective long-term-staffing strategies to ensure the right people are hired for the right jobs at the right time.
  • Provide expertise to plant on leadership development, performance management, change management, resource planning, salary planning, talent- and succession management. Promote the right behaviors, lead open communication sessions, and facilitate training sessions.
  • As part of the HR team supporting French BU food and Seafood plants, contribute to harmonizing HR polices and processes. Works collaboratively with the global HR community to ensure local execution aligns with global frameworks.
  • Drive and support projects that enhance HR department performance or create value for the plant (e.g. Opex programs).
  • Deliver data-driven insights to identify issues, opportunities, and organizational trends related to human resources.  
  • Supports the business in continuous striving to create a safe working environment and safety culture.
  • Facilitates (Organizational Health Index (OHI) assessments and implement actions to drive engagement in the plant.
  • Educate and monitor management actions and decisions to maintain compliance with legal requirements.

Education, experience, skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience 

 

Experience 

  • 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in an HR management role within a fast-paced, preferably industrial environment
  • Proven ability to anticipate issues, solve problems, and implement solutions, including referring critical issues to the appropriate level of management, and improving efficiency, quality, cost, and productivity.
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of multiple businesses, functions and processes, and a track record of positively impacting business results.
  • Demonstrated union experience and understanding of Works Councils.
  • Ability to navigate a matrix organization moving from local specifics to global frameworks.
  • High degree of flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in dynamic environments

 

Skills

  • Fluent in English (written and oral) and local language.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of evolving HR landscape and proven capability of leading organizational change efforts.
  • Ability to innovate and integrate HR practices around critical business issues, aligning people, processes and structures to support these innovations.
  • Competence in connecting people to each other and to the business strategy, leveraging technology and processes where appropriate.
